Welcome to the Spring term 2018! The next few months will be a busy time for pupils as they continue to work for accreditation in English, Maths, Science, PSHE, ICT and Life skills.

Our Science topics are “Living things in their environments” and “Humans as organisms”. We hope to plan a trip to Ferry Meadows, Peterborough to investigate habitats before Easter.

Our Life skills curriculum is providing pupils with valuable opportunities, please help them at home by encouraging them to be as independent as possible with tasks like:

bed making, using the washing machine, cooking simple snacks, cleaning their bedrooms, shopping for specific items and taking care of personal hygiene. Anything you encourage them to do at home with will pay off at school and assist their learning enormously.

We are excited to start planning our residential trip to London for the summer, this happens every two years in KS4 and is an excellent experience for pupils. We have discussed some of the attractions London has to offer us, and pupils are enthused to “see the sights”…luckily we will be there in June, after the mayhem of the Royal Wedding.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other queries.
